  • The four-armed Avalokiteshvara is renowned as the embodiment of the compassion of all the Buddhasis. The four arms signify the four truths of love, compassion, equanimity, and joy. By reciting the mantra can purify our mind's obscurations and remove negative karmas。
  • The two-armed Mahakala called Bernakchen is a protector of the Karma Kagyu school. It is often thought to be the primary protector, but it is actually the main protector of the Karmapas specifically.

  • Phowa, transference of consciousness, is the simplest and most direct method to attain enlightenment. Through a combination of breath, mantra and visualization techniques applied at the time of death, the consciousness is ejected from the crest aperture, circumventing the Bardos and avoiding rebirth in the six realms of cyclic existence. From this gate one's consciousness can be transferred directly to the domain of Amitabha Buddha .
  • This course is only open to those who have completed Phowa retreat.
